My Journey

Where is your citizenship?

This morning I did a live session on facebook and YouTube.

Because someone called us (me and my pastor friend) dogs, my zeal towards God went up a notch.

I was so fired up to deliver messages exactly like the ones I have the other day.

I was praying for that and God gave me a name for that program.

It's called Blessings @ Noon and I plan to do it for a long time to come, God willing.

I would like to share what I spoke with them today.

One of the thoughts God gave me that we are citizens of heaven.

St. Paul says that our citizenship is in heaven.

When an American citizen is in trouble in a foreign country , even if he is only one individual, the entire might of the American government will be used to rescue him.

They will use all the powers available to them and their only agenda is to rescue that person.

Matthew 7:11 NKJV
If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

If, we being evil take this care for their citizens, how much more do you think the heavenly government would care for us?

When the economy of this world crumbles around us, do you think the heavenly government doesn't care about us?

When the whole world is destroyed due to Covid -19, do you think the heavenly government gives a hoot about it?

When families around the world is destroyed by the devil, do you think God is busy elsewhere?

Dearly beloved, our God promised that no matter what happens He won't remove His grace from us.

Isaiah 54:10 NKJV
For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.

Today is an important day in my life.

Over the past week or so, for some reason I felt kinda depressed. I had no clue why.

I was continuously praying about it. I just couldn't put my finger on it.

There's absolutely no reason why. Everything is fine. I checked out my close friends and relatives. They are doing just OK.

After I delivered the sermon on Sunday, I felt so happy and satisfied. Of course, I preached to a grand total of four of my family members. 🙂

But that depression caught me on Monday. I was worried, now. I strengthened myself in the Lord.

Then came a screenshot from a Pastor friend of mine. The screenshot is the image you see up there.

He visited our town. I bought him a decent lunch in a decent hotel. Nothing fancy.

We sat outside that hotel and discussed various things. He had some difficulty in streaming his church service live to YouTube and facebook at the same time.

By His grace we found an app which helped us do that and we went our separate ways so happy.

Someone who saw the video blamed that we pastors are shepherding us and not the flock.

The pie in the pudding is that he called us dogs in a derogatory manner.

I saw that message around 2.00am in the morning and I felt like I should get out screaming Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

I remembered Jesus when He said, shout and rejoice when you are falsely accused.

All the depression went away and I'm so fired up. I feel like creating such messages everyday of the week.

Even in our relationships, sometimes we are misunderstood and blamed for no fault of us.

It can happen in the workplace too.

As a coach, I can tell you this: Your best days are yet to come.

When I think about it, we have done something right that has triggered a third rate response like this.

So, continue doing the good that you're doing.

What Kind Of Legacy

Tayaba & The Kind Of Legacy We Leave Behind!

I spent the whole day literally fighting for my website.

No, it wasn't dirty at all. The call center executives went out of their way to help me.

In fact, the last agent I spoke to was named as Tayaba, and it means peace in Urdu.

This young lady was very concerned that I decided to pull the plug on their company.

When I explained the reason she understood me, but the sorry fact is she could not do anything about it.

So, what does it got to do with you?

Plenty, I believe.

In a family, a father is responsible for the well being of the whole family. When he fails, it puts the wife, children in an awkward position to answer. Most of the time, there's not much to do either.

In the market place, when a Christian behaves in an ungodly manner, the other Christians are also looked down by others. While we're called to be good fragrance, one dead fly can spoil the ointment.

Unfortunately, though Tayaba tried her best to salvage the situation, it was something she couldn't do with her powers.

When a person gets offended, they move away from the presence of God. It'd be very tough to bring them back.

It's our responsibility as Christians to lead a life without offense. Reason is our children are watching our every move. They observe our every word and motive.

We should not offend anyone much less our kids.

Is it possible? Of course, yes.

The battle is already won. All we have to do is to inherit them in faith. If you don't know what belongs to you, how can we inherit?

By becoming a better father, you will not only fulfill what God has in store for you but also leave a healthy legacy behind in your children.

Can you even put a price tag to it?

One More Statistic

Don't End Up A Statistic!

“In 2010, Toyota discovered a .003 percent failure rate on a vehicle they produced with certain brake pads; the company immediately recalled the vehicle as unsafe.

So here?s an institution(marriage) that fails roughly 70 percent of the time, yet remains a legal, wildly popular endeavor and multibillion-dollar-per-year industry, regardless of the massive financial and emotional costs of failure. ” – James J Sexton, Author of ” If You're In My Office, It's Already Too Late – A Divorce Lawyers Guide To Staying Together ”

While this is data on the status of marriage in USA, we tend to dismiss it.

We are Indians. Our society is different.

Of course, statistics state that only 3 % of marriages end up in divorce.

Does it mean that we Indians are living in a marital bliss?

Is it really true that all the married are happily living after?

On the contrary, many marriages are broke.

People continue to prolong that due to fear of the society.

But what's the reality?

Divorce rate among the educated in India is on the rise because women are increasingly self reliant and they don't need the ‘support' of a man.

If you think Christian marriages are not part of this, brace yourself to be disappointed.

Circling back to the quote, if India too reaches that kind of divorce, please don't be surprised.

Why am I painting doom and gloom today?

I just don't want those who read me end up as a statistic.

While a drop of water can not break the dam, when they gather together, that can bring destruction.

Song of Solomon 2:15 NKJV
Catch us the foxes, The little foxes that spoil the vines, For our vines have tender grapes.

It's the small matters which cause the large amount of damage. While you may think it may be of no consequence, when left unattended, then I can only say sorry.

So, what is the solution?

It's time, we Christians take the word of God a bit serious and start working for a strong marriage. (This applies to any part of the world you may be living.)

Of course, it takes work. I'm sorry to say Zamora and Uber Eats or Swiggy can't deliver it home.

Then, we pay attention to His words. Especially those which teach us on how we can become better.

Better husband.
Better son.
Better father.

So on and so forth.

His Love

1 John 3:1 NKJV
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Today I was praying for the sermon I'm going to deliver in our Sunday service.

We started to meditate on who we are in Christ.

When I came to this verse, it arrested me.

I could not fathom the love He has bestowed upon me.

Of course, He will give me all that I need as St.Paul says in

Romans 8:32 NKJV
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

But what God showed me was beyond my imagination.

He found me so irresistible that He decided to forgo His own son.

He found me so important that He exchanged me for His son.

He found me so precious that He let His own son to die on the cross.

If I am so irresistible, how can I smear myself in the fleeting pleasures of this world?

If I am so important for God, how can I waste my time on useless videos and memes?

If I am so precious in His eyes, how can I hurt Him with my vain thoughts and deeds ?

Now I can clearly understand this verse by John, the apostle in his first epistle :

1 John 5:18 NKJV
We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.

Instead of putting myself down and calling me as dust and useless, I am going to start behaving like His child.

Oh what a privilege!

My Provider

Lord, My? Provider!

This evening a friend called me. As he contacted me after a long time, I spoke to him.

His voice seemed a bit dull. I asked him how he's doing.

Sir, it's not business as usual and everywhere it seems it's locked.

These days it's very tough going and he doesn't have much hope.

Just before I started to write this post, I heard a facebook live.

It was a Pastor friend of mine and he was sharing something which happened today.

He needed something. He didn't have enough funds. Devil immediately sprang up to say that you won't have that money. But, at the same time, faith raised up in his heart and he started confessing: ” The one who has been faithful so far, will be faithful to the end”

Saying that he left home. And wonder of wonders, a person contacted him, asking him his bank account to deposit funds.

This pastor told him, he just passed by his village and will personally meet him to get that offering.

Dear friend, even when the world is going upside down and economy in shambles, you don't have to worry because, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

He is our Lord and He provides for us. If you are the Lord, then you should provide.

But fear not, He is faithful to His words.

That is how you become a good father.

Your Choice

Faith or Fear!? What's Your Choice?

This evening I decided to walk for a few minutes.

When I started walking after a few minutes I saw a neighbor getting out of his house for a walk, I believe.

The moment he shut the door I could hear a voice from the inside yelling, ” Be careful! Corona is everywhere.”

Of course, it's a true statement. There are many who ate affected by this disease and thankfully, no one has died in our place.

What was alarming to me was the fear in that voice. It's very real.

So, what is a believer supposed to do in this kind of a situation?

I believe this is the time he has to be brave and stand strongly on faith.

See, the choice is very clear. Either you can live in faith or die being afraid.

I encourage you to start living in faith. I don't recommend any foolhardy stuff here.

But you can count on the promises of God and so you don't have to live in fear.

As we are living in the last days, the words of Jesus is coming to pass one after the other.

So, even if something worse than covid 19 cones, we don't have to fear because we're protected in his shadows.

Rubber meets the road

When the rubber meets the road…

Everything is hunky dory till the rubber meets the road, said my cousin who called me today.

He was calling me after a long time and so I was naturally curious.

It all started with some disturbance his wife faced

My cousin whom you can call a faith freak is always reassuring. He is full of faith. Someone even suggested that wherever you touch him, he will speak positive confessions only.

So, he naturally took it easy not bothering too much about the complications his wife developed.

A word about his wife. While you can't say that she is a faith freak like my cousin, she is not a weirdo worrier in any sense.

The trouble is she felt like she is not that important to her husband.

When she developed some serious symptoms, she was taken to the hospital.

Now, let's take a step back.

This is something which often happens in Christian households.

In this kind of a situation, what is it that a husband should do?

It's exactly what he wanted to know from me.

This is a potential landmine for any husband for that matter. While he is full of faith and the wife is not in a mood to go along by faith, because she is the one suffering.

Our adversary the devil is always ready to pour oil into the fire.

So, how do you handle this?

This is one among the many topics I handle in day three of the five day WhatsApp class where I go extensively on the husband and wife relationship.

He was quite satisfied with what I counseled him. I could almost feel his sense of relief.

While it may not be appropriate for me to reveal what people paid for it, I welcome you to try my 5 day WhatsApp class for the cost of your favorite drink. And it's also totally guaranteed. You can never go wrong.

Are You A Juggler?

How To Juggle The Right Way?

Robert De Niro, who plays Sam “Ace” Rothstein (the head of operations at a Las Vegas casino), explains the importance of keeping your eyes open.

Ace: “In Vegas, everybody's gotta watch everybody else. The dealers are watching the players. The box men are watching the dealers. The floor men are watching the box men. The pit bosses are watching the floor men. The shift bosses are watching the pit bosses. The casino manager is watching the shift bosses. I?m watching the casino manager and the eye in the sky is watching us all.?

So, what does it got to do with you?

As a father, you have to keep your attention on so many things, we tend to fail in everything.

You have to keep your eye on your work. You have to keep an eye on your subordinates.

You have to worry about your competition. You have to be aware of their pricing.

While these are some of the professional challenges, you also need to take care of things at home. “Honey, don't forget…… ” I can hear you thinking about what your wife asked you this morning.

Health, Finances. Parents. Kids. Spouse.

With so many things vying for your attention, do you have a solid plan to handle them?

Day by day, the stress is increasing and you can feel it.

Especially, corona adding it's own turn of events, well, fun increases.

There is one thing which you need to take care. When you take care of this one thing, you will have everything under control.

I can say that now itself but it won't be fair to those who paid for it

So, please try my course. It comes with a money back guarantee. So, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Statistic or Not

How Not To End Up As A Statistic!

According to a study done in the US, fatherless kids fare badly when compared with other kids.

Let me show you a few:

1. Children who grow up in a single parent home are twice as likely to be the subject of physical and/or emotional abuse (America?s Children, 1997)

2. According to a study conducted by the city of Richmond, VA, the estimated cost of absentee fathers cost the city a whopping $2,000,000,000 that's a big billion.

That my friends is just one among the many cities all over the world facing this problem.

3. One expert from Harvard medical school who has studied over 40 years of research on the question of parental absence and children's well-being said this: ?What has been shown over and over again
to contribute most to the emotional development of the child is a close, warm, sustained and continuous relationship with both parents.?

Obviously, a child who does not enjoy this close, warm sustained and continuous relationship with both parents suffer a great deal.

Don't feel relieved that this is not about your country.

This is happening in every country and city of this world.

Now, you will say that I'm not an absentee father. I live with my wife and kids.

My question to you Is: Are you?

Corona made several fathers to stay at home and many actually don't have a clue on how to be around their kids.

They are so used to run around in circles trying to ‘earn', that they have forgotten they have kids.

As one of my friends said he has outsourced child rearing to their parents. Lucky him, but many don't have that luxury.

Now, the question before us is simple.

Are we going to man up to this challenge or not?

Lucky for you, I can teach you how you can give enjoy this close, warm, sustained and continuous relationship to your kids by His grace.
